Not fantastic photos but here are at long last my first Chiltern Germans. These were my first "test pieces" and I have since found a combination of colours for field grey which gives a better contrast between the shade and highlight so the next ones wil be better. Many people do not like these figures, very likely because they are tall 1/72 (and do not fit in with SHQ, Battlefield etc) but they are right up my street. The faces have a lot of character.
Once again having a bad week for painting. May or may not get some done today or tomorrow.

I rather like them - especially the guy with the scarf round his face - makes me think of the old Sven Hassel books.
